As a governance network, LOGNet operates a democratic decentralized governance structure with both downward and upward accountabilities, modelling what it wants to see at all levels of governance.

 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The AGM is the highest decision making organ of the Network. It is an annual platform used by members to review progress of the Network’s activities during the year, plan for the coming year and review the strategic direction of the Network. The AGM is also used to elect new officials of the network to serve on the Steering Committee as well as the host secretariat.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is the oversight body responsible for ensuring that, the organization hosting the secretariat conducts affairs according to the principles and values of the Network. The Steering Committee is currently made up of the following organizations: Ibis; Voice Ghana; Care, Love and Charity Foundation; SEND Ghana and ActionAid in addition to the four representatives from the organized zonal groupings of the Network (i.e. one from each zone). The steering committee is selected every two years at the Annual General Meeting.

The Secretariat

The Secretariat is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the Network’s activities. The Secretariat is headed by a National Coordinator, appointed by the Steering Committee. The National Coordinator’s main responsibility is to oversee the implementation of programme activities and general secretariat services. The National Coordinator is also secretary to the Steering Committee. In the absence of a full time National Coordinator, a member from the host organization may be appointed to perform the functions of the Coordinator. The Secretariat is hosted by a member organization selected at an AGM for two (2) years.  In line with the original vision of the founders, the Secretariat is rotated among member organizations with the capacity to host it. The host organization also provides administrative and logistical support to the Secretariat.

Zonal Secretariats

At the zonal level, the zonal representatives are responsible for the implementation and coordination of LOGNet activities in the regions and districts.  The zonal representative is a member of the Steering Committee and works on voluntary basis. Zonal representatives are elected during zonal meetings to serve a two-year term.

Regional Chapters

LOGNet has regional chapters with representatives in each of the ten (10) administrative regions of Ghana. Each chapter is headed by a regional representative who coordinates the activities of the network in the region and districts.  The regional chapters report through the zonal representatives who serve on the Steering Committee. The regional representatives are elected during regional meetings to serve a two-year term.
